  4. Was that the lining applied to Southern apple-green locos, or was it black/white? Mr B did it differently . . . ?

      The black / white lining was that applied to the Express Blue livery. I do need to modify the lining on this experimental apple green livery slightly as I now know the cream band was edged with red and grey.

  5. At the York show on Monday.

    An exquisite model (two actually) of the Bachmann GNRatlantic loco.

    One in LNER green, lining being two thin bands of white, perhaps with black between them, but my spex aren’t so good . . .

    PS Much sentimental value for me with this train. My father worked on it just after WW2, until the Yorkshire Pullman was re-instated. I have a pic of him in the SR magazine of the time, somewhere . . .

    1. Hi Mike

      Yes the LNER lining was indeed white/black/white but when Apple Green was used as an experimental livery by British Railway they used grey/red/cream/red/grey which I need to correct my 34011 to be. I also have a Lord Nelson awaiting repainting into this livery too.
