Further to my post here announcing the LBSC E1 0-6-0T variations being produced by Rapido trains UK the Isle of Wight Steam Railway have today announced that they working with Rapido trains UK on an exclusive 00 gauge model of our E1 Class locomotive W2 Yarmouth.
The finished model will be depicted in Southern Railway green to match the real locomotive when her restoration is completed.

Indeed.
I would advisee that under the distance selling regulations (which of course applies to web sales) a non-refundable deposit is not actually legal and you have the right for the return of the deposit as well if you do not want the goods.

Completely agree although the statutory 14-day cooling off period might only apply from the day after the model was delivered (in other words it might not apply if the order is cancelled prior to delivery). Sadly not my area of law.
Ultimately a good reason for paying by credit card where it might be easier to dispute a transaction.
In the past I’ve bought items mail order from IoWSR and have never been disappointed.

The model will technically represent how she will be restored in preservation to recreate W2, as she is not the original W2 that was previously B152 whilst the one preserved is actually 110. The original W2 arrived on the island in March 1932 in lined Olive Green and was repainted into SR ‘Sunshine;’ Black posit 1941.
