Bachmann summer announcements, little for Southern fans tho…

Bachmann Europe PLC.  today announced a couple of new models in the Farish N gauge range and new liveries in the Bachmann Branchline 00 range.  On a chartered train on the Great Central Railway Bachmann’s summer event included retailers, members of their collectors club and of course the model railway media. I must thank Bachmann for their kind hospitality today.

The first of the two new models in the Farish N gauge range is an ex Midland/LMS Jinty 0-6-0T (examples of which did occasionally grace Southern metals from the Somerset and Dorset at Templecombe and I am sure also on cross London freights. The Second is the Brush type 2 Class 31 A1A-A1A diesel locomotive.

Their Branchlines 00 range sees new liveries announced for a number of models including:

The Gresley A4 pacifics to coincide with this years visit back to the UK of Dominion of Canada and Dwight D. Eiesenhower and also Sir Nigel Gresley in the BR Blue livery.
Great Central / LNER modellers will also see the introduction of a D11/1 number 62663 Prince Albert in early lined BR black livery.
To celebrate 50 years of the Class 47 new liveries announced are 47715 ‘Haymarket’ in revised Network SouthEast livery (so slightly southern related) and 47190 in weathered BR Petroleum sector livery.

An number of suitable coaches and wagons from existing tooling on both 00 and N gauges are to be released in departmental liveries.

And finally for Southern Region modellers the 4 Cep will be introduced in two weathered versions BR Green and also BR Green with small yellow warning panel.
