The not so annual 00 gauge wish list poll has gone live today and runs until 1800 on Tuesday 31st December.
The team last ran The 00 Wishlist Poll back in 2022. The purpose of The Poll is to provide an easy way for modellers and collectors to tell the major manufacturers and commissioners of ready-to-run railway models what they would like to see made from new tooling (excluding models announced, tooled or made since 2005). It should be noted that the poll is only being run for 00 gauge models. There are plenty of Southern Railway / Southern Region related items to vote for, hint hint.

Dia 2406 BCK to top the poll, followed by Maunsell late coaches (Dia 2113, 2008 etc) pls!

Apologies for this tardy reply but I have had to apply time priorities due to a family health matter (now resolved).
Three members of The 00 Poll Team were present at the ‘Annual Bachmann Launch Event’ when the (new) Bulleid coaches were announced. We all waited for the Diag.2406 to come into the presentation – but that was not to be!
When the presentation was over, we very quickly took the presenter to one side and briefly outlined why we thought the Diag.2406 ought to be part of that range. We then went on to submit much detailed comment in written report form which will have left them in no doubt as to the value of this vehicle to the SR modeller.
We can only hope!

Great! Well, at least Bachmann knows about the importance of Dia 2406! I would’ve thought it would sell like hot cakes with room on every SW branch terminus for a West Country, a 2P or 2W local set and a 2406 through coach from the ACE!

As you are no-doubt all to aware some models could be an ‘easy’ win such as the 3H centre trailer which could give rise to the 4 EPB trailer (with the 2 HAP) Bachmann already have the 4 EPB motorcoaches.
The 4 SUB is essentially two basic coaches Motocoach and Trailer which, with some changes could lead onto the SR-designed 4 EPB.
There are so many SR coaches that need to be considered – particularly the SECR 100-seater (Bluebell has one) some of which ended up working with Maunsell Pull-Push sets and others in the West of England ‘W’ sets with a Maunsell BCK.
(And the SR / early Walrus hoppers, please!)

The Poll Team always employs a ‘cut-off date’. For 2024, we include any model made prior to 31 December 2007. We state in the Q&A that voters should only vote for models they would realistically wish to buy and we note that many models are ‘perfectly acceptable’ – even some made many years before that date.
The Results show that voters do vote responsibly.
