1. I similarly improved an umber Hornby E2 with quite a few extra detailed parts, a modern chassis and picking out of existing detail with a paint brush a year or so ago, and whilst not up to the very latest ready to run standards it is perfectly possible to get create a very nicely detailed model from this old classic. My original came from Beatties in a sale for £7.50.
