  1. It would be interesting to see the kit built S15 alongside the Hornby one. Aftrr I put my kit built Black Motot alongside the Hornby one I had to sell the kit built one!

    1. The DJH kits do have a couple of slight dimensional errors not present on the Hornby model, such as the boiler pitch. The BEC 700 kit was very much dimensionally incorrect in the vertical plane (stretched) so the Hornby model is far superior in that respect.

      1. I have now sold my Bec kit and enjoy 2 Hornby ones. Still trying to pluck up courage to put sound in one! It is claimed to be one of the easiest to add sound but up to now I have had them done professionally by Youchoos or Howes.
