The results from the not so annual Wishlist Poll for for 2024 for new 00 models are now available. The purpose of The Poll is to provide an easy way for modellers and collectors to tell the major manufacturers and commissioners of ready-to-run railway models what they would like to see made from new tooling.
Once again, as per previous years, the the SR U class 2-6-0 tops the SR/BR(s) list and this time also topped the list overall. The second place SR loco was again the humble Q Class 0-6-0, which was 6th overall this year. The top 10 for SR/BR(s) were as follows (overall position / number of votes):

In terms of the desire for a 3H ‘Hampshire’, if Bachmann were to produce the ‘missing’ centre car for its 2H then with not a lot of work the BR 4 EPB could also be produced using the existing 2 HAP motorcoaches……
In the meantime I’ll keep my fingers crossed and look forward to the announcement of a ‘U’ class…..
