As we recover from last nights celebrations to bring in the New Year, here is a bonus New Years Day post with a couple of things you might missed in the inevitable pleura of social media postings the last day or so.
Firstly, just as the model themselves are arriving with your favoured model railway retailer such as *cough* Kernow Model Railway Centre Hornby Magazine, with a possibly recognisable face presenting, have released a “First Look” video of the EFE Rail SR Bulleid/Raworth ‘Booster’ locomotives that were only announced last November and as I type are on their way to the retailers, click the link below to watch.

To end the Swanage Railway Trust 563 Locomotive Group extraordinary year the project has been recently nominated for The Heritage Railway Associations’ awards and the Steam Railway Magazine Award that is “voted by you, you the reader”, The recognition is very much well deserved and you can now cast your vote online until the 18th January – here Thank you.

Enjoyed the most informative Youtube video on CC1 /CC2 within which you provided so much excellent information on these locomotives. ⚡
Well done both to you and everyone who has made it happen! 👍
Hi Graham,
Hi Graham, I bought three ‘Booster’ locos – CC1 in malachite green, 20002 in black/silver and 20002 in post 1956 BR green. All are superb models but I have a couple of queries. From black and white photos in the Southern Way book I notice that 20002 in all photos has the roof silver extended over the cabs. Do you know if it ever ran with black cab roofs please? Again from black and white photos CC1 in malachite green appears to have a silver or grey roof? Do you know please if this is so or is it perhaps just the lighting in the photos? I am prepared to respray the roofs if necessary to be even more authentic but whatever it doesn’t detract from the quality of these lovely models. Richard
Hi
I have seen pictures of 20002 with both black and also silver cab roofs, although it did appear to run quite a while with the silver roof.
CC1 in malachite always had a green roof.
