  1. Thank you for the ‘heads-up’ Graham and well done to Bachmann for the T3 and EFE for 20001 in BR(S) Green.

  2. Graham if I want to run 563 on my layout in it’s final livery would it be best to purchase E85030 and have it rebranded and repainted to plain SR olive green please? Thank you. Richard

  3. Looks superb. Now I have to decide which LSWR one to order to go with the EFE 1910-built cross-country set…
I don’t quite understand the three LSWR liveries – wasn’t the Adams Pea Green rather lighter than shown, and the later Urie green rather darker than shown? Does the as-preserved livery represent roughly 1907-1917? It’s the only one that seems to be close to the three colour swatches in the LSWR volume of Southern Style.

      1. Thanks! It looks like the as-preserved livery will suit my needs best in any case.

  4. Thanks very much Graham. I will order that from my local shop and contact TMC about the change of identity and livery. Richard

  5. Would I be right in thinking that by the 1940’s the ‘E’ would be omitted from the loco number, i.e the tender would be marked SOUTHERN
    563 ? Richard

    1. Only 571 and 563 survived post 1936. 563 was in lined Maunsell livery but with Brighton style numbers on the tender and between Nov 1939 – Aug 1945 was in unlined Maunsell green but Bulleid sunshine style lettering.

  6. Hello Graham. Is 85019 the correct era model to partner to the Hornby LSWR M7 245 (R3204) and/or Hornby LSWR Terrier 745 (R3846)?

    1. Both the Hornby models you refer to are in LSWR Drummond livery, which is the livery that 563 now runs in on Swanage railway and depicted by E85030, The E85019 version is slightly earlier but there would have been a corssover between the two livery styles.
